MY BIO

I was born in New York City many moons ago and raised in Astoria, Queens. My mom was a pianist and piano teacher and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I think I started taking piano lessons when I was about 4. Having your mom as your piano teacher is not easy and I was definitely not your ideal student. I would have much rather been playing ball than practicing scales. When I was 7, I was part of a recital given by a famous piano teacher. I played a piece by Chopin, but did not play it as Chopin wrote it. She stopped me in the middle of my performance, quite annoyed, and asked why? My answer was “I made it better”. I was already creating new music at that young age.

I think I was about 14 or 15 when I began playing guitar,

and not long after I wrote my first Rock and Roll song. Yes, it was about a girl and the name of the song was ‘Blondie’. Amazing what one can do with three chords. I’ve been writing ever since. I played in bands throughout high school and college and well into my twenties, but the stage was not my love. Writing and recording music was and is. Give me a studio session over a live performance any day.

In my mid-thirties I finally gave up music for a real job and career. Fast forward twenty years and an early retirement and I was back to music. Just for fun. I built a studio in my home here in New Milford CT, and started writing and recording again.

I have a large catalog of songs ranging from rock and blues to ballads and jazz. I’ve been told some of my music would work on Broadway. You be the judge. If you like my music, feel free to download it and share it with your friends. If you’re a musician you are welcome to play and record any of my music. Of course I own the copyrights and would expect to share in the bounty, if or when it comes. If you want to record my music and need a studio, engineer and producer. lets talk. Or, if you’re a talented musician (guitar, piano, sax, violin flute etc) and just enjoy recording and creating music please feel free to contact me as well.

I currently have a radio show on KBJB Radio in New Milford Connecticut called the Original Artist Spotlight. I interview original artists and talk about their careers, goals and, for that matter, anything that makes them tick. Tune in every Wednesday at 8 pm. You can access the show through KBJBRadio.com, the KBJB Radio app, or through our Facebook page. If you have original music you think would fit, please send it to me.
